Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install Grok on your Mac. One-time security approval required.
Download & Install
Get the DMG and move to Applications
• Click "Download for macOS" above
• Open Grok.dmg and drag to Applications
Open System Settings
• Open System Settings → Privacy & Security
• Scroll to the Security section
Allow the App
• Try opening Grok (you'll see a security warning)
• Return to Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway"
Confirm & Launch
• Click "Open" in the confirmation dialog
• Grok will launch and you're ready to go!
You're All Set!
• Grok launches normally from Applications now
• Security approval only needed once • Session persists between launches
Troubleshooting
Can't find "Open Anyway"? Try opening the app first—the option appears after macOS blocks it.
Still stuck? Right-click Grok in Applications and select "Open" while holding Option (⌥).
